Its all in the name

She hurriedly prepared all his favourite dishes. She finally made his favourite cold coffee and set the table for dinner in as best way she could. She switched the channel to his favourite one and she got dressed in the dress he always loved.

Time seemed to drag as she kept waiting. In a couple of hours he was in. He was surprised to see her awake. "What happened dear? I sent you a msg that I will be late and you are an early bird. Why did you stay awake this long?" He asked her.

She came to him and hugged him and said, " I thought you had a bit bad day at office and you are stressed. I thought all your favourite things and me will cheer you up. "

He was surprised. He had never even spilled a word about a bad day or a stressful event. But that had been true. He asked her how she came to know about it. She took her phone and showed the message she had received from him.

It read ," I will be late today. Dont wait for me. Love you lots". He couldn't nail the reason. He looked with a puzzled expression. She smiled and said , " There is no ammu in the message which means you are not your usual self. "

In the dim lit walkway they both could feel stress walking away from them.
