Melody of life

"Maalai neram.."
A romantic melody was playing in full volume when she boarded the bus. She could hardly control her eyes from getting moist. Her mind reeled a day back.

He was supposed to travel onsite the next day and he dropped her home from office. The same song was playing in his car. The lyrics brought her great emotion.

She was already sad that he is leaving and the song added oil to troubled waters. She never expressed her love for him. They said good bye and parted ways.

She knew she will feel a big void at office till he is back. Did not know how to express this to him too. Finally with heavy heart she entered her cubicle. He was sitting at his desk.

She jumped on him in joy. " what happened? Have your trip been postponed?"

"After dropping you I felt I couldn't leave you and go. I felt like taking you also with me. Check these papers on your details. Its for your visa. And also one important document needs to be attached"

" What's that? "She asked excitedly.

"Its our marriage certificate."

He held her hands and met her eyes. Silence spoke for a very long time.
