Lent Lesson 18: FLEXIBILITY

Flexibility - Adjusting little or more discomfort to accommodate others comfortably.

He looked at the old man one more time. He looked old enough to be incapable to climb to the upper berth allotted to him in the train. But he seemed not to know the local language and hesitant to ask others for help.

He felt to have understood his feelings and went to the old man and made him understand that he is willing to give his lower berth. Though he got sprained in his ankle he struggled to get to the upper berth and looked down.

The smile and the sparkle on the old man's eyes was medicine enough for his pain. He slept soundly like never before.

We often hesitate to even adjust ourselves to a little discomfort though it may bring a big change to someone's life. Our God, the King of the Universe gave up all his comforts to change the lives of all the mankind.

We should have him as an example and be flexible enough to accommodate the needs of others as far as we can to stay blessed.
